How can I Update my PAN number?

1) Request through Branch:
- Step 1: Submit a written request specifying your updated PAN number.
- Step 2: Provide a self-attested photocopy of your PAN card. Please bring the original for verification.
2) Request through Netbanking:
We’re pleased to inform you that you can conveniently update your PAN online through your NetBanking account.
To do so, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your NetBanking account using your Customer Identification Number and NetBanking Password (IPIN).
- Click on ‘Contact details’ located at the top right-hand corner.
- Select ‘Edit PAN number’ or click on ‘Add/Update PAN number’ under the Accounts tab.
- Update your 10-digit PAN number.
- Confirm the changes.
Note:
- Your submitted PAN will be updated within 5 working days after the validation of the PAN with the income tax records.
- If there is any discrepancy between the submitted PAN and the Income Tax records, the request for updating will be rejected, and the customer will receive a notification.
- If the request is rejected, the customer should visit the nearest branch with a copy of the PAN card for updating in the bank’s records. Please note that in cases of name discrepancies on the PAN Card, additional documents may be required.
- In the absence of PAN details in the bank’s records, the interest earned on Fixed Deposits may be subject to penal TDS at a rate of 20%, if applicable.
